Last night was an incredible moment, celebrating the first year anniversary of the Eastern Business Advisory (EBA) program alongside so many passionate local business owners, community leaders, and fellow advisors.
A year ago the Eastern Business Advisory program was launched by six eastern local councils at Little Bang Brewing in Stepney. I had the privilege of being selected as one of the program business mentors offering ‘Strategic Branding and Brand Refresh’. Since then, it’s been amazing to see how far we’ve come. Over 150 businesses across Adelaide’s eastern suburbs have been matched with expert advisors, with an outstanding 9.4/10 satisfaction rating. It’s proof that when local government and businesses work together, great things can happen.
It was an honour to be part of a panel at the anniversary event held in the magnificent Pavilion at Prospect, opened by Minister Andrea Michaels and Mayor Robert Bria. We also welcomed six new advisors to the EBA team, strengthening our mission to support even more of the 28,900 small businesses in our region.
The night was full of energy, stories were shared, new connections made, and we celebrated what makes small business the heart of South Australia’s economy. A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, and to the EBA team for the trust and opportunity to give back to a sector that means so much to me.
Here’s to another year of collaboration, growth, and impact.
Cheers
Michael Roxas
