Craft Your Brand with Clarity and Purpose

You have a vision. A business idea ready to grow or perhaps one that’s already moving forward, but still carrying a logo that doesn’t quite reflect the depth of what you offer.

Too often, time and budget hold business owners back from investing in a brand identity that truly represents them. But your logo is more than decoration, it’s the silent ambassador of your business. It should speak with confidence, clarity, and intention. That’s why this Logo Design Workshop was created: to guide you through a focused, practical process for designing or refining your brand’s visual identity, with expert support by your side.

WHAT – A two hour guided workshop to help you design or redesign your business logo. You’ll gain professional insights, learn essential design principles, and walk away with the foundation for a logo and a brand that you can stand behind with pride. Workshop provided to you by the City of Prospect.

WHY – Because a clear, well-crafted logo gives your business the confidence to stand out. It tells your story, sets the tone, and earns trust.

WHO – Ideal for new startups or established businesses ready to move beyond the DIY phase and embrace a brand identity that aligns with their purpose.

Bring your current logo or past attempts, we’ll work with what you have, offer expert feedback, and help you shape a mark that’s worthy of your vision.

Not every great design sees the light of day. Sometimes, despite the hours of strategy, collaboration, and meticulous craft, a project doesn’t make it across the finish line. At VERSION, we’ve learned that the creative journey still deserves to be celebrated, even when the work remains behind the scenes.

One such project was a full-scale website redesign for ASTEC Paints and its sub-brand Wallmaster. What began as a transformative vision for the company’s branding turned into one of our most compelling, yet unreleased case studies.

The journey started with the parent brand ASTEC Paints. We replaced their dated logo, featuring an American Indian in a headdress with a modern, dynamic ‘A’ monogram marked by a bold paint stroke. This fresh identity made its way across every touchpoint, from sleek new packaging to a fully redesigned digital presence.

Next came Wallmaster, which we reimagined using a similar approach. A strong ‘W’ icon was crafted from expressive paint strokes, anchoring the brand’s aesthetic and extending across all marketing collateral.

We then designed a customer-first website for Wallmaster – minimal, stylish, and curated for design-savvy audiences who value both form and function. It was approved, polished, and ready to launch… until, suddenly, it wasn’t.

For reasons beyond our control, the project was shelved just before going live. Disappointed? Absolutely. But undeterred? Completely. Today, we’re sharing these designs from the VERSION archives, not just to showcase what could have been, but to highlight what can be. Because even though these projects never went public, they stand as a testament to our team’s capability, creativity, and belief in beautiful, strategic design.

If you’re looking to breathe life into your next big idea, let’s talk. At VERSION, we’re ready to help you bring your vision to life – no matter the stage you’re at.

Last night was an incredible moment, celebrating the first year anniversary of the Eastern Business Advisory (EBA) program alongside so many passionate local business owners, community leaders, and fellow advisors.

A year ago the Eastern Business Advisory program was launched by six eastern local councils at Little Bang Brewing in Stepney. I had the privilege of being selected as one of the program business mentors offering ‘Strategic Branding and Brand Refresh’. Since then, it’s been amazing to see how far we’ve come. Over 150 businesses across Adelaide’s eastern suburbs have been matched with expert advisors, with an outstanding 9.4/10 satisfaction rating. It’s proof that when local government and businesses work together, great things can happen.

It was an honour to be part of a panel at the anniversary event held in the magnificent Pavilion at Prospect, opened by Minister Andrea Michaels and Mayor Robert Bria. We also welcomed six new advisors to the EBA team, strengthening our mission to support even more of the 28,900 small businesses in our region.

The night was full of energy, stories were shared, new connections made, and we celebrated what makes small business the heart of South Australia’s economy. A huge thank you to everyone who showed up, and to the EBA team for the trust and opportunity to give back to a sector that means so much to me.

Here’s to another year of collaboration, growth, and impact.

Cheers
Michael Roxas

Cativa Cucina at Hallett Cove opened their doors to an eager line of customers. They were greeted with a bright, cosy, colourful and trendy interior, matched with the fresh aroma of coffee. The large assortment of food on offer ranged from breakfast & lunch items (brunch), pizzas and tantalising dinner options.

The stream of diners and coffee orders did not stop, continuing from opening until lunch service. The exposed kitchen pumped out non-stop dishes ranging from pancakes, burgers etc. The good turnout continued to dinner service and the locals were very happy with the great food, drinks and service. Visitors were very impressed with the new addition to the shopping centre, with some expressing that they have found a new favourite spot.

Congratulations to the team at Cativa Cucina and all the best for the future.
